About the artists

Ilana Glazer

ILANA GLAZER is a co-creator, writer, director, executive producer and star of the critically-acclaimed show Broad City. The show was renewed for a fifth and final season which is currently in production. Broad City was previously nominated by the Writers Guild of America for ‘Best Comedy Series.’

Recently, Ilana along with Abbi Jacobson have signed a first look deal with Comedy Central and Viacom Television networks and currently have two projects already in development at Comedy Central under the new pact including: Mall Town USA and Young Professionals, as well as Young Professionals alongside her brother, Eliot Glazer.

On the big screen, Ilana starred opposite Scarlett Johansson in Sony Pictures’ comedy, Rough Night,Directed by Lucia Aniello.  In addition, Glazer was previously seen in the film “The Night Before” opposite Seth Rogan and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Glazer is executive producing the upcoming Warner Bros. and BuzzFeed motion picture Brother Orange along with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman and staring Jim Parsons.

In 2017, Glazer and 2 Dope Queens star Phoebe Robinson toured across North America with an 11- city stop for their ‘YQY’ (Yaaas Queen Yaaas) tour.

Glazer trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where she and Abbi Jacobson met.  She currently resides in New York City.

Shalewa Sharpe

Shalewa Sharpe tells jokes. She developed her sly yet goofy style in Atlanta, where she was raised. Currently in Brooklyn, New York, she has joked on the extremely popular “Night Train with Wyatt Cenac” show and the influential weekly Comedy Night at The Knitting Factory. She has joked on “You’re The Expert,” a public radio game show featured on Boston’s WBUR. She has joked at festivals, too - at RiotLA (Los Angeles), the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival (Brooklyn), Comedy Exposition (Chicago) and Red Clay Comedy Festival (Atlanta). She co-produces and hosts a number of shows, including “Thug Passion Presents,” a lively table read and celebration of classic Black movies. In May 2016, her debut album, “Stay Eating Cookies,” was released on Rotknee Presents Records; it can be found on iTunes & Amazon and heard on Spotify, Pandora, and Sirius XM radio. She tells jokes on Twitter (@silkyjumbo) and posts self portraits of varying success on Instagram (@silkyjumbo).
