What is Art Attack?

Art Attack started in 1984 as an arts festival showcasing student and local talents. Throughout the years, Art Attack has evolved from an outdoor arts festival to an outdoor concert, then to an indoor concert. Art Attack was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returned to its arts-based roots by taking over Stamp for a week-long interactive arts festival in 2021. Now, Art Attack is back to a day-long arts festival ending with a concert, and we’re so excited to share this Maryland tradition with you!

Who's Performing?

polo g .jpg

Polo G is one of music’s top rising talents, aptly named Polo G after his favorite lifestyle brand, Polo by Ralph Lauren, and his slain friend Gucci, Polo is determined to leave his mark. 2021 was a breakthrough year for Polo G as the 22-year-old Chicago star’s Hall Of Fame album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in June and amassed over 3 Billion streams globally.

The platinum album garnered Polo his first award nomination at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Hip Hop Video and Best Male Hip Hop and Best Hip Hop Song at the 2021 American Music Awards. His sophomore album THE GOAT debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 in May 2020 with 10 of the songs simultaneously charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and accrued over 4 Billion streams. Polo G’s artistry stems from necessity. He utilizes music as an outlet to constructively verbalize the perils he and others faced in impoverished communities focusing on real-life struggles like racial inequality, violence, and mental health.

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Flo Milli began making and releasing music in 2015. Her first single, "Beef FloMix", went viral on Instagram and other social media sites, including TikTok, reaching number two on Spotify's Viral 50 in April 2019. A fully-produced version of the song was released in July 2019, and received over 46 million streams on Spotify. "In The Party" went viral on the social media platform TikTok, she signed a recording deal with RCA Records. Flo Milli released her debut mixtape, Ho, Why Is You Here?, on July 24, 2020, to critical acclaim. She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards.
